Another reason for getting spots in the warm weather is that the water has dried before its washed the contaminates away.  A window cleaner in Cyprus says they have to spray the window first and cool it down before they can clean it. So you need to rinse a lot more when cleaning those sun facing windows.

And of course you also need to use pure water rather than 'thats good enough' pure water.

my water is at 004 at the moment and windows are drying spot free.......ill be adding another fresh vessel tomorrow though(double DI)....

I had a nursing home yesterday that I do in and out, I did the outside and spent longer on the top frames so that when I went back later to do the insides they would look perfect.

I went back later and still found some spots. Not many but 2-3 windows out of 48 still enough to annoy me.

Its slightly diss-heartening to try your best and still find imperfections, makes you wander if your leaving spots everywhere you go?

I think I will try the "all frames first then glass" method.

I did a nursing home yesterday too, second clean. Flew through the outsides, was expecting some spotting tbh but they were dry by the time I cleaned the internals and all completely spotless.

Out of interest, why do you return the next day to clean the insides? 48 windows could be cleaned in/out the same day surely?  The home that I cleaned was 120+ windows and I was done there before dinner.

I didn't mate, if you re-read my post it says I went back later.

As you know if you do nursing homes t-time is a good time to clean inside as they are mostly around the dinner tables and not so much in the way.

My mistake, I misread your post.

I just do internal communal areas/corridors etc on the few that I clean, I don’t and won’t go into residents rooms.

Cause mate I dont have to worry about spotting in the sun as im chilling in the sun instead.
Work in the rain n rubbish weather so im all upto date on my work, so on days like today I can choose to finish at lunch n spend it with the family.

On track with the thread and someones post about needing zero parts per million is rubbish.   Ive worked half a day today in this heat and my water is hot at 65 degrees and tds of 006 and theres no spotting at all. As someone else as mentioned, hot water users will have much quicker drying times and so i can check before I leave.
Working in full sun is no different to working in no sun as far as spotting is concerned, provided your not conserving water and only trickling water out when your rinsing  ;D but for me and my 6jets with fast flowing hot water, slow is certainly not what i descibe it.

My water in tank was over 65 degrees this morning in an insulated tank. I went out at 9,30pm to see if i need to top my tank up for some first cleans tomorrow, I could feel the heat come out the tank and so I checked the temp.  It was 47 degrees and probably had about 300 ltrs or so left in tank (its hard to guage how much water is in a tank) and so I wont put the immersion on till maybe midnight

Its Nathan, the only guy on the planet able to get water to over 60degrees in a few hours with a 1kw heater who one day will have turned tea total and vegan the next will be sitting in a pub with a drink, I'm just wondering how big the six properties
are when its going to take  him 300lts of water and 4 hours to clean them, normally that would be 15 to 20 detached with conny's, lol

That said I do agree with him on not needing the water to be at zero because of the higher temps, if you are getting spotting then
the first thing you need to do is check that its not ingrained and therefore impossible to remove, next check the pattern of the
spotting as this will tell you whats causing it, runs of sptting down the glass will be water dripping from somewhere like vents
dodgy openers or seals, spotting all over the glass in different amounts will tend to be the fault of the shiner, cleaning too quick,
not using enough water, flow too low and so on.
Spotting is easier to see in full sun but you can be sure if you are getting it in full sun you will also be getting it when its not as easy to see.

It still amazes me how some people clean with 4 or 5 or even 10 tds, might be ok for hydrophilic glass in the shade, but combine hydrophobic in hot direct sunlight at 10 tds then really, your asking for issues. I always keep mine at 000.

Really need to be on top of your quality control at this time of the year, especially if you are having a major push forward with new cleans, do em all wrong and you might as well say, we are crap at what we do, lets announce that so everyone knows.  8)

I would never try to do 10 1st cleans a day, max per day on 1st cleans for me is probbably 4.

Haha love the walty mitty photo, i had unpleasure of watching the film but it turned out really good for walter, just saying  ;D

Obviously aint going to be using all the 300 ltrs this morning, i just didnt know how much wateri had left for today before I checked so I didnt need to top up.
Water temp, started last night in the forties and turned immersion on at midnight till 8.30 this morning, though should have turned it off earlier as the water is 75.

The starting temp is really high to begin with, in an insulated tank and the immersion is already hot so thered no warming up time required.

Under perfect test conditions, it isnt until a tds of 050 that spotting occurs.
Yes we dont work in test conditions, but once the window is clean and 006 water that im currently using, is left on the glass in full sun or not (it will dry the same either way) will be ok and is ok.
Many use water even above this and once I had a time where mine got upto 015 and was drying ok. If its a problem then all of us who dont sweat about the mysterious magical 000 would be foolish to not take heed and yet our results speaks for itself

Personally Nathan, i disagree.

Why take the chance? If your always cleaning at 000 then your just not going to get issues at all are you.

And if i found anyone  using 005 or 010 or even 015 id sack em.

But thats just my opinion.

You’ll get terrible spotting with a TDS like that.

Mine was 015 yesterday, no spotting at all, even in the direct sun. I know this because I cleaned internals on a large place that had dried completely by the time I got inside.

Saying that I changed my resin last night as I had a couple of first cleans to do today (on Dazmonds “Patch” aswell😂) and I wouldn’t want to use that water on first cleans just incase.
