I started Window cleaning traditionally in January of this year and only have 24 customers so far.
I am getting asked to quote for FSG cleaning and conservatory roofs lately.

I have done 2 conservatory roofs now and this week it was a 15 panel roof, took me about 2 1/2 hours.
The roof and finials were green in places with algae, it came up really well but they were polycarbonate panels so using tap water was not a problem but I can foresee a problem when the roof is glass as I am in a hard water area, 240ppm.
I had thought of applying the degreaser solution to one side, brushing off and rinsing, then squeeqee off the water before it leaves spots but then when I do the other side of the conservatory water will inevitably go onto the completed side and leave marks when the water splashes dry.

For those without a pure water system is there a better method I could try to get round this problem?

yes   you buy a cheap   waterfed pole    link it to the garden tap   you wet the windows and frames first then spray tfr on the glass and frames and  brush  then clean it   you can make a pole  for £40   plenty of vids on youtubr

If it's self cleaning glass don't use a degreaser or any chemicals or bother blading it off.
The glass is coated so it's best not to use anything but water. I used a bit of Ecover washing up liquid- but it was my own roof- and a soft brush.
Just stick to water, plenty of it and the dirt will just run off (and hope it rains soon after).
Saying that, I've only cleaned self cleaning glass and I don't know what you're dealing with.

I should have explained myself better, I did use an 18 foot extendable water fed pole that I attached to the customers tap. I used this to apply the degreaser from my bucket, then connected to the tap and scrubbed and rinsed. It came up well but it left spotting on the windows where I had rinsed the gutter off.

you need to clean the windows trad then AFTER you ve cleaned the roof/gutters then if you dont use pure water.........

I did, but it had already dried in the sun.  :
