I feel so relieved now that I never have to go back there again  ;D

Someone years ago said on here that any job you dread going to shouldn't be a customer.  Can't remember who it was but it always stuck in my mind.

That’s a very good point vin , choose the jobs carefully instead of taking on every job going

i had 1 last week,     i want you to clean the bottoms and wipe them dry,  1 minute to think about it,    you will have to get someone else,    drove off ,    i dont need it .    years ago i would have obliged her but not now.   I have enough happy customers on my rounds now to worry about one

never in a million years would i give a "next clean date"......... ::)roll

...it offers no benefit whatsoever to the window cleaner...just more faffing and texting and unnecessary contact with customers.....

It basically kills 2 of the best things about being self employed...........flexibility and freedom to have a day off when you want......rescheduling due to  a number of things(it could be a last min weekend away with the missus, van booked in for a service/MOT,sickness/bad weather,etc,etc).....sometimes i shift work around to have a friday or monday off.depends......other times i load a day with more work to finish early the next day due to a gig/meal out with friends/family or a number of other things....

Ahh yes Dazmond i agree. But i am not aiming to be self employed, im setting up things so they work as a company, eventually i won't be window cleaning, il have staff doing it.

the word missing here is versatile. how about a mixed bag .
the thing we all strive for is payment. payment quickly and no hastle!
some of my best custies I txt the night before . they leave payment!
some of my best custies get a windows cleaned note and pay online
some of my best custies ... live local , I collect and they pay cash
my best custies are always in and pay for each other.
I dont really mind ! all i want is good custies that pay! as long as it works and i dont have to faff about with nonsense!
my terms are no nonsense ! as long as each method is no nonsense im a happy chappie
each method of all of you works . but its a mixed bag

Nathan you are limiting yourself to what you can earn doing monthly only, people won’t want to be paying a lot of money for Windows every month. I do jobs that are a lot of money for Windows but they’ll pay it because I’m not on there doorstep every month of the year,I can still fly through the job it doesn’t bother them how long I’m there as they know they won’t see me for 8-12 weeks. A month flys by if they are cheap jobs that’s fine but bigger domestic jobs are happy but they don’t want it or need it doing every month mate.

Four weekly has been my thing for 15yrs or so and I dont have a problem doing so.  I understand where your coming from though and some of my customers are begining to realise their paying for virtually clean windows to be maintained. But as n when they question it I give them the option to go 8 wkly instead at an higher cost.
What cost do you start offering 8wkly?
I have customers paying £20 / £25 every month and have done so for nearly 2yrs now.
I have a handful at £30 /£35 which are 8 weekly along with a couple of £50 houses.

Try adding 50% to your 4 weekly prices and quote 8 weekly for new work.

Haha you guys, you must be built like rakes.
But yes i put a little weight on with not being on the ladders for two years.
However since a scare with my heart ive flipped that around. Now gone vegan so thise sunday dinners once a month are out.
Also its good how your muscles dont take long to get back into training as ive gone back to gym after some time off.
Perhaps i should star in my next vid to show the benefits of having a scare with your heart

Benefits?
I'd have thought there'd be more disadvantages.
Good luck with it anyway, Nathan.

You give them the option of going 6-8-12 weekly then do you, well you ain’t doing any different to the rest of us then are you if that’s the case. I know from doing it for years this super regular on time on the button frequency is only appropriate for smaller paying customers, you will get loads of calls saying where are you but you won’t get this from the big payers on the whole and that’s not an opinion it’s a fact. I call on the bigger houses on time but very rarely do they say you are  late.

Yep,
Me n the wive thought weve done so well with the new changes that we would treat ourselves to some cream cakes. Truth be told we didnt enjoy them, infact they didnt agree with our stomach.
The health benefits of cutting out diary is unbelievable and I was very sceptical of some documentaries, but in a very short period of time I can feel the benefits.
Though the thought of a juicy rare medium stake still makes the mouth water
