Ive gone through four bilge pumps in a shortperiod of time, lol the plastic deforms due to hot water.
My current one isnt for hot as advertised


The blue casing is all melted n deformed but the pump section is fine.
But, ive been using metal fastenings to hold my hose onto it but it soon rusts.   Tie grips cant be pulled tight enough to hold iton either and im out of ideas now. Just wondered what you guys use

Use stainless steel hose clamps to prevent rusting.

No, van tank but I use a bilge pump for filling my trolley as n when I need to

No, my piping goes through the top of my tank and i dont fancy sucking my pipes to get water out.

The bilge pump works well, now that ive taken the excess deformed plastic off and fills the trolley fast enough.
Cheers for input though.  Think i will go for the stainless steel fastenings

If you have a tap at the end of the hose you won't need to suck water through.

I used to use a bilge pump but now just use the tank Tap. It's a little slower but saves having a bilge.

Yeah,like Vins principal, if you have a decent length of pipe, Lower it into the tank, thumb over the end, pull slowly out and down and vacuum you created and gravity will do the rest.

But this bilge pump is holding up nicely and is fast enough.
The problem with the other pumps is that the plastic was deforming inwards and preventing the fan part of the motor from spinning and as such no water wad being drawn up. But once the plastic was removed, there wasnt enough to help channel the water into the pump section.
Whereas on this pump, the outer casing is deformed and now removed, but the actual pump section and channel  below the pump head is (so far) holding up.

Fish tank pumps are not powerful enough, they can do the job but much slower.   Water fountain pumps would be similar and more costly.

Im guessing there isnt much need for a hot water pump other than central heating etc.
But the stainless clips will rectify my issues.
