But this bilge pump is holding up nicely and is fast enough.
The problem with the other pumps is that the plastic was deforming inwards and preventing the fan part of the motor from spinning and as such no water wad being drawn up. But once the plastic was removed, there wasnt enough to help channel the water into the pump section.
Whereas on this pump, the outer casing is deformed and now removed, but the actual pump section and channel below the pump head is (so far) holding up.
Fish tank pumps are not powerful enough, they can do the job but much slower. Water fountain pumps would be similar and more costly.
Im guessing there isnt much need for a hot water pump other than central heating etc.
But the stainless clips will rectify my issues.
