I have the final 20 metres or so of my hose reel split between Gardiners Green and Rhino hose blue, I purpously did this to compare both products I tend to leave all this amount off the reel and then I can just drop it if I have a job that does not need any more out, The side by side comparison says the Rhino hose is about 5% better than the Gardiner on kinks and twists, both hoses are good and I have had them at around 12 months now with no obvious signs of wear on either, they are both affected by the tempreture (I use cold), and are more likely to snag and lose flexibility below about 6 degrees and get a little bit soft over 15degrees (not a problem this winter
), although the Rhino hose is marginally better there s a cost premium and in my opinion both offer very good solutions without been perfect, I personally will pay for the slightly better Rhino when I need to replace but I believe in always having the best equipment available,if you cost conscious then the Gardiner green is the way to go.
