You are mad m8 you’ve either got 15-20 meters out on most jobs or you’ve never used 1.

To be honest , it’s been bugging me for a while- I’m gonna buy the pure freedom electric reel after April

Can’t bloody wait , I don’t have a compact round it’s more stand alone houses which are dotted here and there so this reel will make a massive difference to me  :)

I use 200m of Rhino flat 8mm hose as it really doesn't kink, is lighter and lays flat. It never expands to full diameter even with flow controller working on a high flow rate and I rarely disconnect it to release the water.  I reel it on  an Ionic stainless hose reel in less time than normal microbore hose because it's so light and never kinks or knots up.
Question........would I still be able to reel it onto an electric hosereel as it's flat-oval-ish in shape and not round in shape?

Firstly it makes no difference how light it is it’s the movement that creates the strain,if it lays flat I still think you’d struggle with the HD with 200 meters. The grippa reel is more like a cox reel in size so with that and flat hose you’d have no trouble,I still have the manual cox reel in my garage and I’d easily get a 150 meters of micro- minibore on that.
