Its nice when...

You get a bit of recognition from your customers. Just done a clean this morning, a monthly clean on Direct Debit hardly see them tbh, been doing them for 5 years this April.

When I originally signed them up, they had been through 3 other window cleaners, all ended up messing them about and becoming lazy, missing windows, and being generaly tardy.

She comes out rather jolly "Hello Marc! Cup of coffee?" "Yes please" i said. She then said to me " You know, you probbably dont get this very much, but i just wanted to say thank you for doing our windows, I dont think you have ever missed a scheduled clean, you always do a thorough but efficient job and we really appreciate the effort you have gone to delivering the service we get"

I thought that was lovely, better put off thier price rise a bit longer lol  ;D

Anyone else got any appreciation stories to share?

I get customers who I have been cleaning for some years phone me up in a panick if im running a little late. I have a facebook page which i ask my customers to follow as I update that if im a little late or ill and when I go on holidays etc but not everybody wants to. So i get phone calls asking if im ok if im running late, because they dont want me to stop coming as ive been the best window cleaner they've had.
I find it frustrating at times as I dont know how many times ive told them that I wouldnt just stop coming, but they do like to worry about me.
I also get the odd ones buying me decent xmass presents and wedding anniversary gifts etc which is nice.

some customers really do appreciate our service....a complement and a cup of coffee helps the day along....i often flatter/joke/take the mick (depending on the customer)all under the name of "banter"......it does wonders for customer relations.... :)

Agree,  even on first cleans I lay the ground work. So when they ask how much, I give them the price and say if they add a coffee to it, i can clean it whilst im there 😂😂
