Canvassing? Where to start?
« on: March 11, 2018, 02:49:24 pm »
Like the title says there are thousands of houses out there! In the past I've normally canvassed from area's that I've recently gained new customers from!
Its like on Friday I was doing some leaflets in a street where I've just picked up a couple of new ones when this gardener said to me that everyone had got a window cleaner in that street. I won't repeat what I said to him otherwise I'll get banned from here!

If I had listened to everyone who told me that, I would never have got started.

As has been said, I would carry on canvassing if someone told me there was already another window cleaner in the area.

I've picked up plenty of good customers who have had one but were unhappy with them.

Back on topic, when I started I canvassed my own estate first and worked outwards.

I started my current run 6 and a half years ago and haven't canvassed for five years now as most of the new work I pick up these days comes to me via recommendations and walkups.
