Cleaning inside glass, mirrors and wardrobe doors.
« on: March 10, 2018, 06:02:50 pm »
I mostly just clean external windows traditionally with applicator and squeegee, occasionally a customer will ask me to do the inside of a Kitchen window but next week I have my first full internal glass clean to do.

My friend is a cleaner and the client asked her if she knew a window cleaner that did insides because her regular window cleaner (he charges £7 for a 3 bed detached bungalow and apparently takes 7 minutes) made a mess when he did the insides last year.

The client wants all the insides of the windows cleaned along with the mirrors and wardrobe doors which are black glass.

I am going to use the applicator and squeegee on the windows, how about the mirrors and wardrobe doors, would glass cleaner and a lint free cloth be better?

In my own house i use fishscale microfibres and just a spray of water works a treat (for mirrors  and small bits of glass etc), no need for glass cleaning sprays its a good quality cloth that does the work.

I clean mirrors in hotels and use a squeegee. I would use the squeegee for what you describe.👍

I'm traditional too, and do a fair few interior windows.

I also do the occasional mirror, and use my mop and squeegee, holding the mop underneath to catch the drips.

Whichever way you do it, charge properly.  It sounds like she got what she paid for with the other guy.

He still does the outsides and they say he takes 7 minutes (detached bungalow with  big conservatory).
I charge £15 for that size property. £30 for inside.
