Post Bad Weather Week
« on: March 09, 2018, 04:56:38 pm »
How have you guys all got on this week, following last weeks terrible weather conditions.

I am happy because this was the best week turnover wise for us by atleast 30%, so we haven't caught up, but have smashed the usual amount we do, and finished a day early this week, not even going to bother going out tomorrow as we got so much done monday-friday.  Also got loads of new custies from walk ups this week and banged out about 8 1st cleans around regular work.

Happy days!  How has everyone got on?

Very well thanks. Well over four figures for me and two walk ups at the higher end (for me) of the domestic scale (a £50 and a £40 on 8 weekly) plus a lower end walk up too. (£15)
It's a game of three halves!

Glad to hear its working out for you mate.

I cant complain about work, I will be out tomorrow all day .It's a pity the guy I nearly took on didn't turn up on the first day, put me right off employing.

What area did you have canvassed josh?

Me too. 12 to do and the bad weather is a memory. Can't remember the last Saturday I worked but then I try not to work Fridays.

Brilliant thank you , did my numbers for the week  by 10:15 Monday, called in at Costa for a Skinny Mocha Latte, on leaving found a queue forming at the van at of yummy mums (Mumsnet types) all desperatly wanting my (window cleaning),services  picked up four £120 jobs and a couple of £80's then to cap it all the last one, (Indian looking girl) insisted that I clean her 3 bed semi twice weekly for £150 said her last (trad) guy, would only do them weekly and stil charged her £140,should have them all done before 10:00 next Monday but it'll be a right bugger calling back for the quick £150 on the Thursday that will really interupt my sixday break from the game. :'(

Where was he from again, local?  It is a pain mate.  Employing isn't easy either.  Your staff just dont do as thorough or as good of a job as you would being the business owner.  Thats my own experience so far anyway.  It's still working well though and it has too because of health problems.

Had bit of Gele canvassed and then colwyn bay.  Canvassers out again soon though, just to top up our work.  We dont usually work saturdays but may have to this month as we have alot to get to and a backlog of addon jobs so cant really complain.

See you have taken on more commercial and care homes, well done mate i've always wanted to break into that, never have done though.  Glad things are always improving for you :)

Great, glad to hear business was good for you!  Nice to hear so after the previous week we all had to put up with.

He was from Bangor mate.

I take whatever comes my way if it suits my criteria, I ain't looking right now.

I am refining things to bring up the effort to reward ratio, I am only after "silly" money. Its surprising what you can get if your cheeky.

I'm happy working Monday to Thursday 9:30 till 2:30, take a Friday off and find the odd thing on a Saturday morning.

Keep up the good work dude.

Have you not got a diagnosis to work on yet ?

Its been a while now you been suffering from this thing, have they worked out what's up yet?

Have you considered private treatment?
