Went to swap my hoseless fitting from my slx to my extreme pole tonight and noticed the top section stops quite high up inside the bottom pole unlike the slx so u can’t fit a hoseless fitting, what I’ve done for now is just leave the male rectus pipe hanging out but means I need to hold it to fit the female connector on then I can pull it up.
Anyone else had this issue?

I have several extream poles not had a problem converting them to hoseless and the slx you just need to adjust the height of the first section with a spacer so it doesn’t close right down there is no difference between them

I had the same problem with an Extreme 47. Fitting the spacer just pushes the first section up further. I had to do the same as you and leave a short pole hose tail on it.  This was not ideal when using the standard end protector so I swapped this for the pole end rings that Gardiner sell.

Do u have any pics guys as like I say my first pole section is about 2-3 inches shorter than the others so  sits deeper inside the pole when all collapsed unlike the slx?

Really struggled with this today, loved my first day with the xtreme pole but having to have the mad rectus hanging out the pole was a nightmare trying to hold the pole and connect the female to it, then when I extended the pole It was disconnecting on the inside of the pole, I don’t see any way I can make it work like the slx because no1 section is much shorter than the outside section so the male would be sitting 3-4 inches deep inside!
All I can think of is cutting the end of the external pole section down which I’m certainly not going to do or go back to the old method of 10 metres of pole hose hanging about!!

Not sure what you want to see but fitting the hoseless system to a six or extream is the same I have done both on mine no problems at all

Don’t understand why your first section is shorter I have converted an extream 47 , two extream 18, two six 18, six25, ultimate 46 , and clx 27 all with no problem .
Surely if your top section of the pole is shorter it will work fine as that’s what you are doing by putting a spacer on that top section you are making it approx 60-70 mm up inside the base cap if that makes sense

The problem he's having is the first section is too short so fitting the spacer would make it even shorter. When his pole is collapsed his male rectus fitting is too far up the pole so he can't connect his female rectus to it.

It's the same on my Extreme 47. I have to remove the first section from the pole then pass the pole hose up the removed sections, connect it to the first section then slide the first section back together. It's a ball ache.  If you try and fit a short piece of hose with a male rectus fitting it justs snags the inside of the pole and disconnects.

Has Gardiners shortened the first two sections to stop them snapping?

I had this problem on my extreme 47 when converting to tubeless. I bought my tubeless kit from Steve at Exceed . He was kind to make me an adapter tube made of plastic that slots into the top tube of the extreme to make it longer .

Strange haven’t had this with mine But if it’s a couple of inches shorter it should be ok just don’t use the spacer surely?...

Even if you don't use the spacer the first section is still out of reach.

Hi guys yes delta your exactly correct it’s up way too far in the pole to get too whereas my slx it was just perfectly sat just within being able to connect and disconnect with no issues, I did wonder if gardiner have made that first section shorter to strengthen the section or something?
I will take the end cap off and take a pic of the collapsed sections inside😉

I have never compared the lengths of the sections but my extreams I have approx 60-70 mill of the first section extended and a spacer on that section and don’t have any problems connecting and disconnecting the hose in the plastic sleeve supplied by Steve

Thanks guys bloody hell I totally forgot about the plastic sleeve, I ditched it on my slx as I preferred using a bare rectus but just fitted the sleeve and fitted my hoseless section in the pole and what do you know the thing works a treat because of the plastic sleeve enabling me to get it right up and then pull it off too😂
I’d rather not use the sleeve but if its needed with the xtreme I can’t have another day with it dangling about like today🤮

Now I'm confused. 
If you use the sleeve won't your rectus fitting be further up section 1? If so how are you disconnecting when you want to swap poles for different jobs?
The idea of tubeless is that the sleeve protector should just be sticking out the end of the pole when it's collapsed so you can disconnect.
