Thanks ks wish I had just gone to local dealer now.  I'll check tomorow. It was about a thousand pound cheaper though so perhaps worth it.

For and extra grand you should be able to find a brand new one 18 plate with 6 miles on clock.

I've seen the sport model onn offer for £14k which is what I went for.

Is that including the VAT Paul?  If so that's a cracking price.  Where was that deal offered and is it still available?

Sorry. You still need to add the vat.  The dealers advertise the top deals on auto trader.   Search nationally.

Thanks Paul going to have the new van fitted either grippatank or waterworks but will keep all my gear just in case. Thats how I'm working now in a transit hire van with 500 litre tank strapped down and a pump box.

Yes mine fitted with grippa too.

You can always work with a gardeners back pack if worst comes to worst.

Enjoy it. They are great vans to drive. And punchy too.  Only needs servicing every two years and comes with 4 years rac

Isn't there something in the small print that suggests the oil should be changed annually?  The reason why I'm asking is that when the motor trade went to 2 year 20k servicing a few years back the small print suggested the oil be changed in between that time.
It was a marketing ploy to go for extended servicing intervals because it reduced vehicle life maintenances costs as they excluded the cost of these interim oil changes.

As a mechanic, how to do you forecast if  a set of brake pads is going to last for the next 2 years or not?  So they change them for new to be sure.

Not 100% but have been told by renault during purchase and last service it only needs doing every two years or 20k miles due to cleaner engines and better maintenance free tech.

Services will provide a percentage of wear on pads to help calculate depletion

MOT will pick up brake wear too.  Mine had it's first MOT last week with 25% left on pads. So getting them changed before summer.

They also have said as long as services are done to schedule and van is driven property the engines are good for 300k km

I wonder if Citroen/Peugeot were saying the same thing about that first generation 1.6hdi engine.
