I hope you're all tucked up in bed with a cup of tea
« on: March 01, 2018, 09:59:26 am »
Just came onto quickly say it's day 4 now of minus temperatures I hope you all have done the hard work during the other 220 working days in the year . So no crying no what are we going to do
Here's what you going to do you going to enjoy your time off because you worked hard you didn't blow your money knowing that the the weather is coming preparation is everything
I decided to revive my fish tank an old hobby of mine spent a few quidd but hey going to look great soon no window cleaning thinking whatsoever
I hope you're all enjoying your time off whatever you're doing just stay away from the roads and stay away from window cleaning for now it's not a problem also if your on Ladders please for the love of God do not go on them it's not worth slipping and causing injury to keep ahead of your round
Peace out !

Worked Monday,

Having the rest of the week off, it’s -2.7c even now at 1pm in Essex.

I am getting bored now though  :P

I have just woken up from a nice refreshing sleep on the couch after watching Netflix.

This weather isn't such a bad thing.

I'll admit I'm frustrated with it and not enjoying the week off.

Not so much financially as I know I can make that up in the coming weeks but just keen to get out and get on with growing my business, got a proper holiday booked in may I want to be out raking in the dough at the minute.

Can't wait for next week to be honest to get back out there and crack on.

I'll admit I didn't see it coming, I thought we had seen the back of the bad weather but then no one really predicted a week like this, not seen one like it since 2010.

Maybe, just maybe, some people have other hobbies that doesn’t involve going to the gym? Lifting weights bores me to death.

Personally I’ll go for a run or work on editing some photos from one of my recent walks in snowdonia or the lakes. Might even do a bit of DIY or maintenance on my house.

I will, I’ll be throwing on my trail running shoes and doing 4 miles down the trans pennine trail in about an hour. I’m nowhere near as mad as Tosh though.

Tried to make an igloo with the kids and got left myself, kids are also getting fed up with me annoying them! I seen some idiots out on mountain bikes yesterday so I'll maybe let some air out the tyres and give it a go myself.

I wish I'd read this earlier  ;D.
I already had what I needed, I called at Screwfix this morning (though they gave me some of the wrong stuff but that's another story). Cracked on with the old pipes as the new were too big. Turned the water on and it's going everywhere; I mean everywhere.
Shouted to my missus to turn the water off but she couldn't manage it (that too is another story). I ran downstairs to do it and in the panic I couldn't manage it. I eventually composed myself and turned it off but by now water was coming through the ceiling
The new flexi hose had kinked inside so wasn't allowing the water to flow through. By now the lights are flickering
Turned the power off, mopped up best we could and I sorted the flexi hose out and got it on.
Just left the lights off to dry out, so things not too bad apart from a bit of bubbly wallpaper.
It was my own fault for rushing and forcing the flexi hose on. Frank Spencer eat your heart out  ;D.
I wished I'd worked in this weather now  :-\

That's a job for when the weather is better as it's bound to go pear shaped. I have a cistern dripping in the attic shower room which will stay that way!
