A bit of snow on the ground didn't stop me working today. Struggled near the end of the day as the plastic goose neck was freezing up so I couldn't change the angle of the brush and the ground was starting to get a bit slippy underfoot. Won't be working tomorrow as they predict 10-20cm of snow for us and 50cm plus up on the moors near me so calling it a week now. Three days in the snow and freezing temperature so got enough work in for this week and will have a break until Monday.

We've just had a weekend away that we couldn't really afford so I was a bit mithered about the impending 'beast'.
I also had funeral today so that'd be more time off. Anyway outside the crem, I got talking to a bloke that I used to work with and he was telling me about the stroke that he'd had. We then got talking about another lad that worked with us that'd died suddenly in his early forties.
It cheered me up in a way  ;D. There's three fellas that would have loved the chance to be snowed off.
Beast, my arse  (no, not like that); life's too short.
So on that note I'm going to start on some of my leftover Christmas drink.
If I can get anything done tomorrow, great; if not I'll attempt some DIY with a hangover.
Cheers.

Managed to get todays work finished.

Although the snow really has started to come down now and settle tonight. I have my bills ready for tomorrow but if the schools are closed, the wife and i are taking the kids out in the snow.

To hell with it. Its forecast 11 degrees next week.

Or you can spend the day texting your customers explaining that you won't be around after all on the 1st of March as previously arranged, and the ones who were meant to unlock gates on the 2nd can you now open the gates on the 5th, and the ones who were meant to open gates on the 5th................................................... ;D ;D

You should of stopped and hosed 'em down with your Hot water Daz.
I'm sure they would of appreciated it....

Why were they go to the gym with a ladder each?

Well I've woke up everday hoping to go out.

But it's game over here, worse than it's been all week, -4, snowing at 40mph winds expected.

Going to have to get some serious graft done starting from next week, I might have to work later than 3pm for a while

We were supposed to do a whole weeks of gutter cleaning this week, needless to say not done any.

March is going to be ridiculously busy now, but I prefer it that way. Fortunately December and January were brilliant months so a week off not too bad.

And booked a holiday yesterday for April - sick of not having any sun for ages! This winter really seems to have dragged on this time.
