New Signups 2018 £ 2,295
Jan: £1350
Feb: £945

Total So Far £49,201

January and Feb are rough months, so any increase is great.

Stock clean, after 15 years has decided to up the Anti................

Please don't post personal details on an open forum

Bramar seems to be at the minute a "dormant company" ?

Could you talk us through Stock cleans 15 year history, the formation of Bramar and the current drive.. i think that would be very helpfull . Also reasons why it never took off before ?

No its not a dormant company.

If you open your eyeballs under company status you will see active.

Nature of business showing dormant is simply because we havent filed our 1st year company accounts yet.

Im not going into all the details again, have a look at my previous threads under my profile and you will get enough  history to satisfy.

Im sorry if that sounds a little rude, but im getting a bit sick and tired of having to re explain myself over and over again.

Im just doing the updates because there are some that want to know in the hope it will motivate them to also grow their business.

If you don't like the thread, or are trying to pick it apart, don't please just dont get involved.

its still an increase...but your figure of £49,201 will not be the turnover you actually earn over the course of a year, skipped cleans/holidays/sick days/bad weather days will eat into it......take at least £5000 off.if not more.....
price higher/work harder!

Well its pretty close.

For example last year's figures of £46,906 are coming in for an actual turnover of £45k odd by the time my accounts are filed, end of March. So thats not too bad.

But yes of course, projected bookings are always slightly different to actual turnover, but i dont to expect it to be off by that much.  I think your figure of 5k at least off the projected amount is a bit on the high side dazmond.

I just got a cancelation this morning, from the older list for example so thats £120 off the yearly figure.

It really feels like im having to grab the busines by the scruff of the neck right now. I hope it gets easier as the spring arrives.

It's been really hard since new year.

Had two weeks off at crimbo then a week off in Jan with bad weather.

Gained quite a few them lost a lot as well.

Week off this week and just can't seem to get going.

What a long winter, need to kick on now in march if I'm to hit goals

As I've said before I love posts like these from Marc or Lee Pryor as it helps me to keep motivated on my own business! Sometimes being a sole trader can lead to complacency etc so posts like these are very much welcome so please keep them coming!

It's been really hard since new year.

We've had the most lively start to a new year for a long time.

Im thinking after an email or two we've secured a 7K clean on a site in London and am about to start to put together another quote for what looks like a 5-6K job.

Same here, had lots of enquiries since the turn of the year- it's usually end of March/April when it starts!

Nice one.

I can't moan myself really, financially I'm not better off than I was two months ago but I've gained around 5k a year extra in work, set on my first lad and got myself a second (albeit cheap run about) van ready to kit out.

Exactly. Which is odd. Anyway, it’s all a pleasant turn around, just unexpected.

I took a week off over christmas, and had a week off i think last May, or June.

You know how it is when you are running a business, you don't take time off if you are looking to grow it.

I find when I have a day off lately I just see it as a day wasted.

But ultimately that's part of the reason I want to employ, I want to take a week off without the business standing still..I'll bet it's great sat on a beach somewhere watching money roll in to the account.
That's the kind of vision that inspires me to push on.
