Well its pretty close.

For example last year's figures of £46,906 are coming in for an actual turnover of £45k odd by the time my accounts are filed, end of March. So thats not too bad.

But yes of course, projected bookings are always slightly different to actual turnover, but i dont to expect it to be off by that much.  I think your figure of 5k at least off the projected amount is a bit on the high side dazmond.

I just got a cancelation this morning, from the older list for example so thats £120 off the yearly figure.

It really feels like im having to grab the busines by the scruff of the neck right now. I hope it gets easier as the spring arrives.
 ???

dont you take holidays then marc?(even when you employ they will have to have holidays too).at least 4 weeks a year.....

I took a week off over christmas, and had a week off i think last May, or June.

You know how it is when you are running a business, you don't take time off if you are looking to grow it.

You just post on an cleaning forum all day instead?
;D

No its not a dormant company.

If you open your eyeballs under company status you will see active.

Nature of business showing dormant is simply because we havent filed our 1st year company accounts yet.

Im not going into all the details again, have a look at my previous threads under my profile and you will get enough  history to satisfy.

Im sorry if that sounds a little rude, but im getting a bit sick and tired of having to re explain myself over and over again.

Im just doing the updates because there are some that want to know in the hope it will motivate them to also grow their business.

If you don't like the thread, or are trying to pick it apart, don't please just dont get involved.

Thats fair enough, you don't need to apologise for coming across as rude. I thought it was a genuine question, i'm just interested in what seems to me a convoluted company structure.

you're in charge and you can choose whats posted and whats not, i don't have any problem with that. But don't make out i posted something private when all i posted is exactly what is in Marcs link...............

There is nothing complicated or convoluted about my company structure.

Its Bramar Ltd Trading as StockClean its very simple.

The details you posted are in the public domain, the removal of these details were not through any objection or complaint that originate from me so i cannot help you there either im afraid.

Its normally Marc trying to be clever posting peoples details up, he made 1 guy leave the forum for doing such a thing.

Yes in hindsight that was a mistake. And i apologise for that.

However his details were also in the public domain, and he did call out a forum member with some grandiose claims that he clearly couldnt back up, and all i did was expose that.

But in future i am staying out of stuff like that now.

Ok Fella's

Latest update on my push to 80K.

What a terrible month its been for everyone eh? I managed to get all my work cleaned this month, just got 2 jobs to do tomorrow left over from the snow days and i'll be all up to date.  Unsurprisingly...i haven't done any canvassing....again. But i have been picking up work from recommendations and website inquiries.

So as it stands my work list is at: £50,117  ;D Considering the awful weather we have all had to endure, and the fact i haven't been able to canvass, that's not bad...its not great...but it ain't bad.  8)

New customers for 2018 are now £3,183

Pre 2018 list is at £46,934 currently (some price adjustments have been made, increases etc)

Is this regular new window cleaning work or does it include things like one off jobs end of tenancy cleans, gfs ? Or don’t you do that kind of work ? Well done steady progress is good , it has been a very bad time over the last 3 months with the weather Evan I have lost several days with ice and snow and Ime in Cornwall very unusual for us , keep up the good work 👍

Well done Marc.
Considering this winter has been one of the longest and coldest for a while my monthly turnover has increased every month this year. So far I've generated approx £600 of new business not as much as Marc but going in right direction. Hopefully start canvassing after Easter too!

Well done mate.

Will be interesting to discuss figures and progress with you at the end of the year.

Let's hope the weather really picks up now and come the end of the year we are further along the road.

Ok chaps, we are at the end of Feb!

In keeping with my promise to keep all updated on my progress here are my current signups so far this year. I have recently increased some prices BTW for the old list . So you will notice a slight increase in those figures.

Existing Customers Pre 2018 £46,906
New Signups 2018 £ 2,295
Jan: £1350
Feb: £945

Total So Far £49,201

Feb was a bad month for new signups

Oh, and the people who need medical attention
Or who might ever need the Police
Or who use the roads
Or who want railways
Or who might want to use a court to enforce a debt
Or who want their country defended
Or who want rules enforced regarding the food they buy
Or who want Streetlights

Yeah, stuff that load of spongers.

Yes, you're right.  Understanding that paying your taxes might just be a good thing makes me the one worthy of derision.
