« on: February 21, 2018, 09:16:43 pm »
Has anyone on here, gone through their rear door with a roller system, instead of going through the van floor...??

There was a photo on here? years ago  of someone who cut a hole in his rear door behind his number plate.  His number plate was fitted onto a hinged frame that would lift up out of the way when he needed to use the hose. I can't remember any more details though, ie did you have rollers etc. I have thought about it on and off for years.

I would have imagined that all that muck that gets on the rear doors in bad weather would find its way into the inside of the door and speed up rot.

I saw there were some for safe on eBay years ago but haven’t seen them anywhere now. Great idea going via number plate

Here's an example, not through the number plate though.

Just looking at this raises the question;
If the hose reel is fixed in the back behind this door, how does the operator wind the hose in and layer it on the hose reel?

Yes and the obvious question how to stop people tripping over it that’s not practical far to high up very dangerous

If its a big roller, say like 10-12" you should use plenty of lube or it'll hurt.
