Cladding cleaning quote
« on: February 21, 2018, 07:31:24 pm »
I've been asked to provide a quote for cleaning the cadding for storage unit.  Quite bigger than I'm used to clean but it's very close to home and could a good earner .
I need some advice on quoting as not quite sure what to charge or how long will.it take.
I'll probably use wfp , some hypo and stiff brush.  My 35ft pole will reach easily as I took it out to check . The building is slightly  higher at the front . At the back I can reach it with a 25ft pole . They are not so bad at the front and sides . The back is quite green in places where the gutters is leaking .
Thank you

That's what I was discussing with my brother as he will be helping 2 days, but to be on the safe side I'll say 3 days.
The front is 12 metres high ,at the back 10 metres high and 240 long all 4 sides. There is also access to water

Ime guessing most of it will have to be done out of working hours due to the access on the front road couple of days should do it but we would be £1500 for that at least , the end walls will be a bit fiddly with the corigations we did a factory similar to that that is a bakery was coverd in flower took us 4 days that was 3.5 k just make sure you have a good water supply for rinsing

These are the type of jobs if not used to them can end up being more hassle than what it's worth (not that i'm an expert, but have done a couple similar but not as big), on the flip side they can also be a good learning curve for any future similar jobs.
going off the pictures me personally would be going in at about £1200 -£1400 maybe even more . You've got to make these jobs worth your while  IMO. 12mt is about 39ft so it's going to be hard work on the neck working at that height for ages so no point in earning a bit more then what can be done cleaning windows. Also some of the cladding looks like you will need to work the brush from side to side in between the gaps and can't just go up and down.
Is that 240m long or foot?

EDIT* posted before i saw reflections reply, but agree with him.

Thank you.  Your price is close to what we were thinking (£1500-2000) because of the restrictions and also i might be as fast as I'm hoping due to being quote high and large building . Water supply looked with good pressure

Dear me daz you don’t want to be doing a job like that for £300 a day better off just doing easy windows that job will be hard work around the back looks like you cannot stand far enough away either so back breaking work - needs to be considerably more money than the glass

Also make sure the water supply is a good one with plenty of flow and pressure.

It’s doable but will be hard work if it’s the first one you are doing like that it will be a sharp learning curve don’t forget material costs too hypo virosol etc that will be £120  I don’t think your pricing is far out they should bite your hand off at that sort of price
