Hiya fellas.
Thinking of diversifying into contracts management. I have been window cleaning for 15 years with varying ammounts of success. Recently we went ltd, and i am pushing the window cleaning business to have a full time employed window cleaner by the end of 2018 so i can start focusing on other business activties.
One business activity i would like to get the ball rolling on end of 2018 is contracts management and procurement in cleaning, public services, and government services.
I may be looking for business partners, but most importantly i wanted to ask the following.
What is the general rule with this sort of business? 10% profit? 5%?
Are contracts for services usually 3 years or longer?
Is it common say you have a contract worth 50k with one company, that they pay a deposit on start of contract with the balance reducing monthly?
Or dp i have to get credit via form of a standing charge from the bank? Or factoring?
Whats the norm on this.
Any opinions are appreciated
