Pump problem
« on: February 18, 2018, 07:28:09 pm »
I've just fitted another pump it works as in powers up but hardly pumps any water I've bypassed the hose reel to eliminate that but still only a bit of water.
I've tried sucking on the hose to encourage the water to start flowing but i get a bit of water then it's like the hose is just closing in.

Has anyone had a job to get water into a new pump for the first time before.

Have you opened the tap on your tank?

;D  I actually did this the other day, messing around for over 5 mins wondering why the pump was not working then remembered id turned the tank tap off the night before.

Unclip from your hose reel and let the hose hamg out the van for a bit of a siphon help. Then turn your pump up to full whack and see if it kicks in after a 10-15seconds.

If not then is your battery charged? We always have one pump coughing and spluttering before the other when the batteries low even though both pumps are they same age.
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?
