soft washing
« on: February 17, 2018, 04:20:04 pm »
hi guys I have seen a few threads about soft washing but have admit I don't know much about
can you tell me
1  what are the benefits
2  can it clean facias, gutters and patios etc
3  what equipment do you need to carry out soft washing
4  where do you get the equipment and detergents (if needed)  from

thanks in advance
at the moment I use WFP poles for facias etc  and a petrol jet wash for patios etc, I was wondering if soft washing makes life easier

With pressure washing you may have come along to some jobs where its just surface dirt and doesn't take long to clean with a pressure washer.    These jobs can be done by spraying water down and then a softwash ( usually hypo, surfactant and a scent oil) leave for less than 20 mins and simply rinse off.

Or you may have used a pressure washer and if its a low litre per minute pump and psi you may not remove all the black spot (lichens) on the clean. This is where a soft wash would then remove them afterwards.
Or to clean house/wall render for instance.

A weak mix can also be used on conservatory roof cleans and yes fascia cleans as well.

Normally a separate trolley system is used and a slight modification to your pole, switching from the brush to a spray head.
