I had one customer who asked me not to stop coming as I told her I was not continuing as the dog mess was getting worse. So we agreed I would text her a couple of days before coming and if the poop had not been picked up I wouldn't clean the windows.  I'm not talking about the odd pile here and there but rather having to stand on tippy toes so as not to stand in any.
Needless to say I have long stopped going to this customer.  I understand people can be busy, me n my family are and we have a dog. But I pick it up in a morning and late evening when I'm doing the van. There's no real excuse to have moldy poop etc still left in the garden other than laziness.

If my customer asked me to pick it up for a tenner I would have been very straight with them, especially if they had kids as well.

Dog crap, the window cleaners bane. Is it just me or is it especially bad this year as the colder winter has left people not as keen to go out and lift the stuff? I'm cracking up this year with it, had to drop a very well paid job  last month (or should I say they dropped me for asking them to clear it up) after unknowingly  trailing a hose through it and it rubbing on BOTH legs of my trousers with one leg smearing the vans steering wheel as I jumped in. First I knew of it was the stench and then it dawned on me what had happened. To add insult to injury I called to the offending house to try and work things out amicably explaining what had happened and had got the words 'I can't continue to clean your windows until you...' and was abruptly told to not come back again and had the door slammed in my face.
It's seems telling some people to clear up after their mutt is deeply offending.

if a customer has a dog you just gotta just keep your eyes wide open when your cleaning their property to prevent this from happening...

lots of my customers have dogs.if i binned them for having the odd dog poo in their gardens id hardly have any work.....

i cant remember the last time i dragged my hose through dog poo....cat poo is worse as they tend to crap in soil near bushes and its easy to drag you hose unsuspectingly through some..

i always keep my eyes open for crap on the ground whether they have a dog/cat or not....i have some wet wipes in the van for the odd time i do drag my hose through it..

..as for picking it up for customers..i wouldnt but if you feel comfortable doing it and need the money why not?

we have a dog too and picking her crap up is enough for me.. ;D

Lazy sods, when I poo in a customers back garden I certainly don't expect it to be still there in a months time.

Where would you dispose of the waste?
Serious question for dog owners on here- how do you dispose of yours?
I know when you're out walking your dog, you'll either drop the bag in someone else's wheely bin that's been left out on the pavement or hang it on a tree branch but what do you do with the pieces dropped in your garden?

Chuck it in the recycling, it’s getting shipped abroad anyway so who cares..?
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

So the garden is being used as a dog bog, then good old window cleaner picks up a month's worth of doggy doo for a tenner.!

Does the customer think so little of you that she is wanting you to do that because she can't or won't?

If I were you I would seriously think about dumping!

I rang the local council once to ask advice because one of my ex custards was bagging the dog poo up and then making a mountain with it in her bag garden because she didn’t know what to do with it (it stunk) . They told me to tell her to just put it in her general rubbish wheely bin

Flog it to Nathan. They burn dog-crap in some countries for heating. Nathan could put it in his chimera to boil his water.

Nice.
Leave it in their back garden then?   ;D I can spot a serious flaw in this business model, so for that reason I'm oot.

Load them all up on a spade then chuck them over her next door neighbours fence trying to avoid the patio table and chairs  ;)
