Someone gave me 10 £ coins with a couple of old ones amongst them, I stuck it in my pocket as working but never checked and discovered later. Next month their price went up, cheeky beggars.

Probably.  A few days before the old fivers went, a customer gave me eleven of them .  No problem, I used some to buy diesel and others to go shopping.

Totally agree. Can't see the tax man believing a window cleaner has no 'cash' coming in.
