Green Pro Cleaning
« on: February 13, 2018, 07:39:29 pm »
This guy has done some very good informative videos for beginners and the people that have been in the game a long time, but he has just done one on YouTube about customer profiling that would ruin a good business that’s been trading for years if you were to all of a sudden adopt his ideas. I challenge anyone to try and start building a WCleaning business using his 5 step method.

He does make sense, but I don't have a problem doing insides or the odd bungalow trad.

The rest is just common sense and we all do it subconsciously anyhow, checking the potentials out.

thats the beauty of running your own business...you can do what you like...

i dont care whether a customers pays cash/cheque/bacs or standing order.it makes no difference to me.as long as i get paid in the end.also i dont care about customers personalities,if their the moaning type i try and cheer them up!also access isnt a problem if i can text them the night before to leave a gate unlocked etc(or even factor this in your pricing).as for insides i agree with him there..i cant be bothered (although i do have some trad work thats unsuitable for wfp).

i even have the odd customer who have pretty scruffy overgrown gardens but they still pay me and are good as gold....so i keep going back.... ;D
price higher/work harder!

Like I say he’s got some good ideas but he comes across as aggressive at times in his attitude if I adopted his methods I’d be doing myself out of a lot of money over the course of the year,I have a lot of easy profitable inside and out work and some jobs that have the odd window that require a 35-40ft pole that if I didn’t clean they’d been less than happy,a lot of reasons why people want a WFP WCleaner is because we can reach 3-4th floor windows.

I have a few utter arseholes that I do that are quiet happy to pay me 100 odd quid every 6-8 weeks,it’s all part of the job smile and crack on I must admit the upper 90% of mine are spot on but no one can say they have a smile and coffee every job they go to I’m sure,so on and so forth lol.

I have some I have to text but I only do it because it’s worth the hassle of the text,IMO if you don’t do insides or don’t offer it your only half a WCleaner. Anyone I’ve ever had with me must be able to blade to a high standard if they didn’t I would insist they learnt how to,it helps to know what a clean window looks like before you walk away eh.

Agree with most of you guys, it's just using common sense really and a little bit of that is gutt feeling as well.
I've had lovely customers who seemed to be OCD for many years but the last couple of years they have started to let things slip compared to their normal standards.  Yet they still have a friendly chat with me and still pay straight away.
However I did pull up to quote a house in a nice area, but their garden gate was broken and the rear garden was a real mess behind a high fence that the public couldn't see. The back door looks like it's been kicked in a couple of times.   So a speedy retreat that time.

I've said before I think he's arrogant.
However he goes out of he's way to help others, providing it's his way 😁
The tools bit made me smile, only as high as a 25. really?  Because he doesn't want to buy 3  one for each van. (Just buy 1 then for any higher work and allocate it to 1 van)
Seems to work for him.

Access ain't a real concern as I offer a text service night before. All my clients who use it know that if the gate is still locked I will only clean what I have access to and they will be billed 75%  of full charge

To be honest i think hes spot on.

Its exactly the way i run my round, i dont do terraced, i dont do dog muck, i dont do anything to do with ladders, i dont do insides.
i only have a 27ft pole and no interest in buying a bigger one, its not needed. i dont do trad work either.

I do what i want to do on my terms, it doesnt matter what your terms are just that you have some.

That's right.
It's always good to have more terms than customers.

Derail?  A bit dramatic that.
It's easy enough to get back on topic, isn't it?  Or has it gone forever?  :o

I don’t do terrace but that’s mainly because of the area and type of work I have,as for dog muck I can’t see how you can erase that one dogs gotta poop the dog will poop most people will pick it up. He just makes it sound like if you want me I will tell you what we do and you e got to abide by all my terms and conditions,a hell of a lot of people will laugh him down the road. I can’t believe he would would turn top work down over a customer not allowing all 5 conditions he’s seriously narrowing his market and he doesn’t target high end work either in his other videos he says his minimum is £12,he used to do all the other add on work and if it was priced and he was as busy as he said he was he’d still be doing it I would think the truth is more like people have wised up to paying £400 odd quid for a standard 4 bed gutter clear out and outside of gutter wash.

I like this guys videos, i've watched nearly all of them over time.
The fine detail in his videos doesn't suit everyone, but in principal, I think he has some excellent points to make.
I particularly like the one of how he started.
