Just an update
Well two weeks in and all is good so far.
His technique is fairly sound, just using too much water taking too long to rinse. But no criticism id rather him be thorough at this stage..
But i have quickly found out, that working as a 2 man team isnt very efficent at all.
i suppose it depends somewhat on your work, but its easy to get in each others way, with the odd tangle and doing small houses like 2 beds, terraced and fronts is no quicker at all.
So ive decided to get another van, im going to look at one at the weekend, just a cheapy for now, i did contemplate buying a decent one on finance but i dont like thevthought of paying off two vans if it goes tits up! So get him out on his own hopefully by march. Give him another week of me correcting him then get him out thrown in at the deep end as it were at see what happens.
Done all my maths and got some targets in mind that he will need to do per day to make the profit i want (eventually i dont expect it straight away). The targets are i feel realistic and 20-25% less than i can do in the same time so trying to keep it at a steady pace and not the balls out rate i like to work at.
