Fuel discounts - Fsb
« on: February 07, 2018, 04:22:35 pm »
Thought I’d let you know that Iv been a member of Fsb for a while and didn’t realise that I got discount at many fuel stations of upto 4p a litre! It does cost £25 for this deal or there is a £15 deal (for the year that is) and you get a 2p a litre discount of fuel.
Well worth it in my opinion 👍

£15 for the year to save 2p a litre.

So you would need to buy 750 litres to break even.

So about a  Grand of fuel roughly.

Suppose it depends how much fuel you use  , I dont think I'd save much at all.

AA cover is this full breakdown cover for the year?

I would save a bit on this if the discount applies to supermarket fill-ups.  The last time I checked one of these (a few years ago and not via FSB), it only covered fill-ups at places that were charging more than where I normally buy - wiping out any discount.  Also, I wasn't using enough fuel for it to be worthwhile.  I will check this out.
Thanks for the tip.

Morrison’s is 4p , bp is 4p , you can download an app to once you’ve registered and it shows you the fuel stations around you .
I tend to fill up at BP as it’s cleaner fuel

My friend around the corner saved me the trouble.  He had a £60+ delivery from Tesco and gave me the 10p per litre discount voucher.  He has never driven in his life (he's 64).  I'll run it down for a few days and fill up next week.  Should save about £7.50.  No great shakes, but might as well have it as not.
