Problem with pvc cleaning job
« on: January 28, 2018, 08:49:15 pm »
Hi,
I did a full pvc clean on a house 6 months ago and I do their windows monthly. After a couple of months I was horrified to see the white frames were all covered in black streaks. It nearly looks worse than when I did it. I used degreaser and CIF liquid cleaner. Thankfully the customer hasn't mentioned it but everytime I go I'm spending ages on the frames to cover up. Any ideas what's the problem?
Cheers
Steve

Any of the neighbours got a log burner or burn firewood on a regular basis?

Sounds like the rubber seals between the glass and frame are perished and bleeding , sometimes after using virosol/ tfr/ etc it seams to do this , also experienced it on widow cleaning jobs that haven’t had any chemicals used on them after very wet and windy weather
