« on: January 26, 2018, 03:14:30 pm »
I have just bought some gutter poles for my 3000w vacuum, the hose attachment that’s on the hoover won’t fit the poles it’s too small does anyone know the best place to pick up some thicker vacuum hose or some kind of adapter that I can get from a shop rather then online as I need it for Monday the gutter poles are 2 inches and the vacuum hose is 1.5 inch

The problem will be your vacuum will 1.5" too, so  a bigger hose won't fix your issue. An interim fix will be to get a reducer of some kind.

Do you have somewhere like this link locally?

To get 38mm to 50mm adapter?

Hope that helps,

It might be worth getting in touch with Grippatank. They supply hose and cuffs for the vacs. They know what you'll need.

Guttercleaningsystems in Norfolk maybe able to help.

They sell complete systems or partial, i.e poles, vacs, camera etc.

Sorry don't have gutter vac.

Good luck Stephen.

I got caught the same and needed it next day , what i did as a quick fix was to get a piece of cardboard that would overlap the vac tube and vac hose by 6 inch each , and it would need to wrap around them both twice at least .
Cover one side in gaffer tape to waterproof it , wrap it around each of the ends you are joining togerther and then gaffer tape again to get it airtight , it dont look great but it still sucks like a 10 dollar hooker  ;D
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Just a piece of clarification, I have never seen a vacuum with smaller than at least 2" diameter. Very few have a 2" hose but they all use reducers at the vacuum entrance hole.
