Galaxy S8....had the  S6 and S4 before that and never had a problem......the S8 is better than the other two because they have taken a lot of the apps that cluttered up the other two that you would probably never use anyway.
Thought the I phone was part Samsung anyway...don't they use the same screen as Samsung that Samsung developed?

They do.

To be honest I was only Apple Fanboy baiting (normally the easiest sport on the internet - not many biters on here though).

At the end of the day, ALL modern flagship phones do almost exactly the same jobs. The differences now are pretty trivial.

Still £1000 for a phone that if you drop and crack the BACK, will cost £500+ to fix? No ta, my 5t has nearly 3x the RAM, does everything either very nearly as well or better, and cost 1/2 as much.

Got mine insured plus I don't get the whole breaking screens and phones thingy. A chap who works with us broke three screens last year? Three! I've yet to break a phone and had mobiles for over 20 years now. I always fit a screen protector, decent case and i am careful.

I could easily run my business from a £300 phone and i think the X is a joke for a £1000. If they release an Xs which is slightly better will i buy it....yep.

Insurance for anything that isn't going to break the bank or is mandatory is pointless. Especially if you're careful.

I’m not an Apple fan boy at all. Normally they aren’t too bright and say that there £1,000 Mac is faster than their £300 laptop so Macs are better.

I have just upgraded from this to an iphone se , really could not get on with the windows phone found it slow and would never connect to internet , not that i ever really use it like that , i have always only wanted a  phone that had a camera and made calls thats it for me .
Never had a flagship phone as i always went more for the  (free)  telly or console !   Free my arse  ;D

While we are on the subject of phones though , i am getting on with the SE but , it takes pics in PNG for some gash reason , so now if i want to say put a pic on here , i have to media cable it to my laptop then convert it then post it , which is a right feckin ballache !
Anybody any wiser than me ???

I like small phones so I had a Sony Xperia z3 compact because it was waterproof. Nothing special at all and the bit that made it waterproof broke off.
Now i've got an Apple SE, it's ok but i'm not really into phones.
I don't think the camera is any better either, cause I still look ugly in selfies!  ;D

Ive always stuck with samsungs and never had a problem. Yet fancied a change on last upgrade back in november 2017 and got a free ps4 for my lad with my siny experia xa1.   Its now been sent in for repairs yesterday as it keeps shutting off even with 95% battery. The only way I could turn it in was to plug in the charger.
Fair to say im not happy with the phone.

Ive not gone expensive with my phones as in the past I could go through 3 phones a year. Dropping them or loosing them etc etc.
Yet ive done well for last 2 years and had the same one.
My package gives me 15gb data, unlimted calls n texts etc.
I use the data for online banking,  paypal app and gocardless.  Not to mention my you tube channel or more importantly this forum on my coffee breaks

An easy way is to select the photo you want to send on your iPhone, then tap the upload button on the phone which will be in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Then select the Mail symbol and email it to yourself.
Open the email on your home pc, save picture in file of your choice (pictures or documents etc.) and Robert's yer mum's brother.

I had thought about that but its just as long winded as the media cable method , plus i still have to compress it to JPEG after .
I just was never meant to win !

I have a Samsung something S whatever. 5 years old. It does all I want.

£7 a month for unlimited calls and texts and 4 gigabytes of data.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

Samsung S8. Never could understand why anyone will pay a premium for an I phone.

I dunno, maybe the email method isn't that straight forward then.
Have you got the icloud photos software installed on your pc?
My iPhone seems to magically transport photos from my phone to my windows 10 pc which end up in the icloud photos folder in Jpeg form without any cables involved.

I usually start with the latest phone at the begining of my contract and after a year when I've dropped it in the bath or smashed it I'll buy a cheaper one.

Last couple of years I've found phone's in the £150 -£250 range to be perfectly adequate and fast enough for me so I no longer get the best. The one I have now was only £100,  have a Nokia 3 at the moment and it's fine. Not really into phone's anymore like I used to be.

im sending my xperia XA1 ultra off to be repaired.less than 3 months old and the battery is foooked.ended up buying a samsung galaxy S8plus with a 10% staff discount yesterday.still cost me £700!but its a much better phone (esp the camera)than the sony and i hope to get at least 2 or 3 years out of it(my note 3 lasted nearly 3 years).

not sure what to do with the sony one when i get it back.ill probably sell it or keep it as a spare/back up phone.

so ive spent a grand on 2 phones in 3 months....i must be crazy! ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!
