Samsung Galaxy S8. However, I buy my phones from private sales (someone upgrading their contract and cashing in on the phone). So, I paid £400 for the S8 (brand new, sealed) when it first came out last year (still selling for more now) but have it on a sim-only deal with the network provider. Best of both worlds, you just have to be patient!! Wife and daughter have iphones and IMO they are inferior in comparison to Samsung!

It's not opinion. It's fact.

In every measurable way.

I have an iPhone 6 for work and a 7+ for out of work. The 6 is from when the wife upgraded to an 8. I’m not a massive Apple fan, but prefer the OS to Android. I did have a couple of Android phones as well as a Windows phone (deadful).

'Had' renders your opinion irrelevant. While apple have been removing headphone jacks and fingerprint scanners, android has come along leaps and bounds. Nougat and latterly Oreo are more polished than previous versions. Even an old duffer like you could use it.

Apple continually take years old android tech and try to pass it off as their invention. £1000 for the iPhone X (a phone so terrible that it's rumoured apple are already planning to axe it) is a slap in the face for the apple fanboy zombies. Then they admit to deliberately rendering their old phones unusable. Shameful behaviour.

One thing that always amuses me is just how poor apple phones are at.... well, being phones! Where 'ever we are, my Samsung always has a better/stronger signal than the wife's iPhone (same network). We can sit them next to each other and mine always has the upper hand.

Much seems to be down to the age of the user.

I'm 49 and my idea of a replacement phone is another one like I have already, only newer.

iPhone's are apparently not bought by the young, cool and hip people.

iPhone's are bought by their parents.

I have an iPhone 6.

My phone will be 5 years old next month. A Motorola something or other (I can't even remember the name) and it does what I want.
The alarm clock and YouTube have stopped working but apart from that, it works as well as it did the day I bought it.
I couldn't hate or love a phone. It's a phone and I don't want to look after it. I'm too cool for all that  8).
I might consider getting another tough not so smartphone after he's turned 5 and put him out to stud. He's done enough.
I might get one of the Chinese ones next; they look good value.

The good thing with the Lenovo or Motorola phones is they have a coating on the board which helps protect them from moisture, technically they're not waterproof but the board does have protection. The screens are also very tough which most high end phones lack especially iphones. I wouldn't do as the youtubers do and put them in a bowl of water and hit them with hammers just to see how good it is.

I have a iphone 5 and the only reason I bought it was to play my music whilst working as I have over 1800 songs on it oh and use it to make phone calls an texts, don't bother with the internet on a phone, too small a screen and don't want a tablet size phone to make phone calls.  When it packs up I will replace it with a cheap nasty one, can't see the point in spending ridiculous money on whatever trendy phone is going, I just don't get what there is to get excited about phones, they all do roughly the same thing. I have a decent car, goes like sugar off a shovel, now that gets me excited going 0-60 in next to nothing but phones don't do anything for me, just don't get it

Also One Plus 5, had the 3 before. Great phones, great battery, fast charge, great price. SIM only with Three, 14Gb, unlimited texts and calls for £14. 😁

Apart from the x they still have the  fingerprint scanner, the lack of a headphone jack has caused me no issues at all , the old phones become speedy  again as soon as you fit a new battery , my old 5s still works fine just a bit slower ( i have an 8 plus now).

i have had 3 samsungs and all three were un reliable and the os was and still is terrible compared to apple , in my opinion .

And it is just opinion and not fact , you can have a car thats technically superior in every way but you might still enjoy a technically lesser car more .

Nope.

A phone is not a car. Best car I've had was a 1.5 MK1 VW Jetta. Almost every car I've had since has been technically better but none of them changed my life.

Samsung Core Prime dual SIM. Always had dual SIM, use 1 SIM for personal and the other for business. Different ringtones for each.

Got the iphone X upgraded from the 7plus, i think i slightly preferred the different screen shape on the 7plus but i do love the X. There's no way it's worth a £999 lol. I bought mine with no contract as my sim is like £9 a month.

There's news of an XL iphone, the biggest screen ever in an iphone coming in Sept this year.....

The thing i love about technology now is the fact i do 90% of running my business from a phone!

To be honest I was only Apple Fanboy baiting (normally the easiest sport on the internet - not many biters on here though).

At the end of the day, ALL modern flagship phones do almost exactly the same jobs. The differences now are pretty trivial.

Still £1000 for a phone that if you drop and crack the BACK, will cost £500+ to fix? No ta, my 5t has nearly 3x the RAM, does everything either very nearly as well or better, and cost 1/2 as much.

Galaxy S8....had the  S6 and S4 before that and never had a problem......the S8 is better than the other two because they have taken a lot of the apps that cluttered up the other two that you would probably never use anyway.
Thought the I phone was part Samsung anyway...don't they use the same screen as Samsung that Samsung developed?
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.
