Fitting ply racking
« on: January 24, 2018, 09:11:53 pm »
I've finally ordered some plywood racking, I presume it's just some L shaped brackets from B&Q I'll need. Has anyone fitted them before and any advice on screws etc?

depends on racking and van. Don't screw into any wires

It's a Transit Custom with ply lining already fitted. As it's the Limited model it will have plywood type panels underneath the plywood lining so hoping that'll give more support.

Finally, the racking came with L shaped brackets and self tapping screws so just lined them up near the ply lining screws and it's solid.

£100 it's flat packed so I just glued the joints and tap some nails in to bond yesterday, fitted today.

Found 10 micro fibres and a bunch of wee things when transferring the boxes to the shelves.

Looks good, where’s your tank?
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

it's the facelift 325. I've seen similar tanks which would be better but I'm happy with it. I should have a bunch of first cleans coming up so I'll no doubt have to refill during the day but it's not normally an issue.
