FIAT DOBLO ROOF BARS!
« on: January 08, 2018, 06:59:39 pm »
Hello I'm now proud owner of fiat doblo cargo multijet.

Looking to get roof bars, can anyone recommend a link online?

Also what do you have 2 or 3 bars on your roof?

Oh and easy it easy enough to install the yourself?

Thanks and happy new year!

I got mine off ebay from memory 3 bars in total east to fit just make sure you put the right bracket in the right place as the roof slopes and the brackets are different  sizes

Which ever you choose make sure you get a rear roller bar if you intend carrying ladders. ;)

I've got Rhino Roof Bars on my van with an added rear roller.
The roller seemed a good idea at the time, but I never feel the need to use it, and just lift the ladder off from the side of the van.

I always have bar end stoppers fitted which add another 6" on to lift over. This means that I don't use ladder clamps at all- just 2 bungees.👍much easier and quicker.

Hi P@F ...glad to see someone's reading with interest  ;D

I got doblo from somewhere else; Vanwise franchise in Harlow was impressed with there stock, tbh I didn't think they'd have anything in my price range.

Most stock started from £7000 + vat
Sales man said they move about 150 vans a week.

I went to view red combo van at another site but felt it was a cowboy outfit set out on old nursery.

You had to make an appointment as owner met you at yard ::)roll

He did have some nice vans but not well presented dotted around site which resembled the surface of the moon😁

P@f can you help? Turning on headlights?

There's only 2 settings dipped main beam or main beam.

I can't seem to work out side lights you know ones for dusk or driving about on gloomy days.

Hope that makes sense?
Know your van is different model but fiat.

Thanks lee

On mine i have 2 clicks if you like , on the left stalk , 1 is side lights , 2 is main lights , and pull backwards for main beam (dazzle)
pull it again to go back to dipped beam , what planet did you say you came from  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Wait till you start getting annoyed with the doors auto locking when you drive off !!
Then you got follow me home mode on the lights , freaked me out when i did it by accident !

Vanwise it's not that the big place near the BP garage at the M11 roundabout in Harlow I hope ?
I know 2 people who have had vans from there, both were nothing but trouble after the first month.

Only Kidding  ;D they were both good runners and were very happy with them.

P@f maybe I'm just silly  ::)roll

On left stalk turn dial once dipped main beam.
(normal night time lights, push stalk forwards main beam, pull stalk backwards to flash).

Will muck about with it tomorrow.

Oh yeh rear light in cargo bay doesn't come on, see in user manual something to do with key button in cabin has something to do with that??

Thanks
Ps yes not discovered home lights but read in manual  ;D

Hi Lee   Good to see you have sorted the new van out,
forget the roof bars use  a telescopic ladder in the back of the van.
If you only use them for gates and the odd flat roof.
I will look out for you in the new van.
