For sale is my window cleaning van & system.
I have to say, this van and system have never let me down, and I’m sorry to see it go! I think this is the perfect van/system combo for a single operator.
The Van:This van has some useful extras; Air Conditioning (a godsend in the summer months), parking sensors, and a full set of LED lights in the load area.
I’ve had the van serviced every year, never had any problems. You can see the condition of the van in the pictures, here are the details:
- 2009 VW Caddy
- Milage : 50,582
- MoT Due : 24 June 2018
- Next Service Due Sept 2018
- MoT Advisories : NONE for the previous 4 MoTs
- Service History : Full
- Air Conditioning
- Parking Sensors
- Full LED lighting in the load area
- TWIN side-doors. One on each side, this is very useful.

The System:This is a 400 litre Ionic Reach & Wash System. If you’re not familiar with Ionic, google them, you’ll see they are the industry leader in watered pole.
The system has the following features:
- 400 Litre Tank
- Automatic fill shut-off (so it can’t overfill)
- Fully Crash Tested to FMVSS-208
- Non-Rusting Stainless Steel Chassis
- 11-Litre DI Vessel
- Auxiliary 120 aH Leisure Battery (the system DOES NOT use the van’s engine battery, so you’ll never be in danger of the van not starting after a lot of system use)
- Antares Split-Charge Relay - this charges the auxiliary battery from the vehicle’s engine when the engine is running. You do not have to charge the aux battery manually.
- 12v, 100PSI Ionic Pump with filter and pressure switch. (The filter just makes sure no debris etc gets into the pump. It has a metal filter element that you remove and rinse off every 6 months or so). The pressure switch switches the pump off if the flow is ‘dead ended’. So for example if you’re working and you want to stop for a minute or two, you just disconnect the pole, or kink the pole hose, and flow will stop, and after a few seconds the pump will switch off too so that water isn’t wasted.
- Full length sight-gauge (so you can see the water level at a glance)
- Auto-compensating flow controller. This regulates the flow of water to the pole.
- flow shut-off valve
- Digital dual input TDS meter.
- Non-leaking John Guest fittings.
- Full LINE-X floor treatment by Ionics. This was quite expensive, approx £450 to have done, but well worth it in my opinion. The van floor is totally protected by this hard-wearing fully waterproof coating.
At present, the system is set up as a soft-water system (or delivery system), but has the fitting points for a 4040 RO and the pre-filters so could easily be converted to hard-water if needed.
Poles are stored above the system in a ‘drainpipe’ rack
