LPG gas heaters drain valve

Has anybody had any problems with the drain valve In these heaters.
Water is coming out of mine and it doesn’t stop either way I turn it .

i never had any problem with mine but i forgot to drain it one night and it froze a few years ago (knackering the heater.) ::)roll

make sure you dont cross thread it
price higher/work harder!

From what i remember on mine , although i never drain it , i just wrap a duvet around it in the cold .
I did once take it out , and found that the brass piece in question consists of 2 parts , 1 is the knurled bit that you unscrew in one hit , and the other i recall is a flat blade screwdriver screw inside the knurled piece , so either ptfe the knurled bit to the boiler or try to tighten the screw up , i think it is a pressure release valve , i mention it because i undid the screw and mine leaked until i nipped it up a bit with a screwdriver , maybe yours has worked loose ? 
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

ive just cracked the housing where the drain screws into on mine last week with the freezing weather, 5 years ive had that thing lol but bought a new fastar from germany off ebay and back up and running a treat!
lesson learnt though and will make sure i drain mine next time just suprised ive got away with it for so many years!!!

mine is stiff and a pain in the ars to drain so never drain it but if its leaking a bit of ptfe tape will sort it i bet the oring is fuked
