Yes chap. I use second controller to just trickle feed back to the tank.It helps put temp back into the tank. I might have a go at what you do in the new year as my way does not circulate through the hose when travelling. ( I only do that when travelling to first job and frost mode). The hose temp then drops and takes a while to warm it up again at the next job. Sending hot water through a cold hose causes temp to drop faster. Once material on hose is hot the water raises in temp (red hose).
