The wive throws the dog out into the rear garden as she the dog not the wife) goes bonkers when she hears my van pull up. So i first get attacked by the dog followed by a mad rush of little kids excited to see daddy and a knicked knacked wife whos glad to tag me so she can have some time out. After sorting tea n kids are quiet having dessert i nip out and stick the extension cable into the van and transfer water from IBC tank to the van and plug in the Immersion. 20 mins or so Im back indoors and story time n helping the mrs get the 2 little ones into bed n story time etc, around 7ish. Then its dog walking for about an hour. Finally when all is quiet and the oldest is in bed I sort out all GoCardless payments. Send my pre typed message to customers for next day (takes about 5-10 mins) and then spend time unwinding with wife.It depends on tank temperature as to when I turn on the immersiin heater and all my "window cleaned" tickets are pre printed from vista so I dont need to worry about that as I have 500 in the van.My books are wrote out on actual books which I write out once a year and each month when I work the round its a simple "p" for paid or "o" for owing. Then each tax year, a simple case of spending a day sorting my accounts.I have plenty of scrims which I rarely use, and a load of micro fibre cloths in van for daily use and so I only need to wash them perhaps once or twice in a month
Home from work, connect the van and fill up, Di only so only about 2 hours. Bring all scrims in and leave next to washing machine for the wife, make my breakfast (oats/grapes/Greek yoghurt/milk) and lunch (sandwiches) for the next day. Have a long soak in the bath. Then I make tea, spend some time with the kids until the wife puts them to bed and I’ll check the van is filled and do any invoicing/texting that’s required and sort out what work will be done the next day.Quite simple really but it’s important to be organised and I actually enjoy it.
