80% of the time i connect wfp to customers mains tap for maximum pressure and unlimited water supply.  That is usually enough to get rid of all dirt.  If they are really bad, apply chems first either using backpack if its a really big job, or just chemical solution in a bucket and dip your brush head in and apply to fascias, agitate wait a few minutes then rinse off.

I tried out degreaser from Screwfix on three dormers yesterday, at around 50-1 using warm water the first one needed a good scrub so I left it for 20mins on the third dormer and it came up alright and at the back of the house I added something else to speed up the job.

Since i changed over to pure water wfp i just wash them with wfp and pure water . Ive tried black wash a good few times to try make life easier (left blackwash on for 45/60 mins) and rinsed with wfp and  thought it was useless. No easier .

So today i done the same and rinsed with pressure washer this time and stuff just fell off with a bare rinse. I only sampled it on lean to fascia and gutters so may give it a proper run out next week.

But washing fascias and gutters with pure water alone is defo heavy work for me but lucrative so wouldnt mind finding an easier way

Cheers for input lads

Virosol and water mixed, sprayed on fascia with backpack, left to dwell for 10 minutes or so,
then scrubbed & rinsed with WFP, normally comes up very well.

I use hot pure, which shifts most things.

Ive used chems in the past but find it adds alot of time to the final rinse to get rid of all the soap residue etc.
Where Hot pure water, i simply wash n rinse as i work

I use customers tap at high pressure. I usually apply dliuted virosol beforehand via a spray bottle and leave for a few minutes before scrubbing.

I'm surprised to hear so many use pure water for this sort of job.

I used to connect up to customers outside taps years ago but it's easier, quicker  and less faff to use my pure as the windows always get done at the same time.

If it's a really dirty job I'll spray virosol and use cif to whiten the frames.really hot water helps too if u have the means

TFR through brush on spare pole...two or three Windows at a time....rinse off if possible with hose reel on customers tap...back to beginning with pure if doing Windows and frames as well.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

it takes longer doing it your way mate.if its a  standard 3 bed semi for a regular customer ill charge £50-£60 for a fascia/soffit/outside gutter clean plus say £10 for windows and be done and dusted in an hour so £60-£70 an hour.not bad money for time taken.

Have tried a number of different chemicals and to be honest none made much of a difference if any, same with hot, using the
pressure from the customers tap helped as did using an extreme stiff brush.

Be really careful using bleach on upvc. I've seen it turn white frames pink. It happened in seconds too.

i wouldnt use bleach on UPVC.your running the risk of damaging it(as well as killing customers plants/grass if the mix is too strong and it drips down).

very hot water, virosol,CIF will remove most stubborn dirt and leave a great job (and a happy customer)

Hypo is fine on UPVC providing you use a weak mix , yes it can turn cheap plastic products yellow/brown but usually it will revert back to white in about 30 muinets we use it all the time on badly stained plastics 1 part hypo 10% to 5 parts water never had a problem with that if you use 1 part hypo 10% to 3 parts water sometimes it will turn yellow but in my experience it has always reverted back to white again . Where hypo comes into its own on plastic cleans is where you have cut joints usually on down pipes I’ve tried virosol , sif, tfr nothing will remove the green staining but hypo will usually get rid of it
