Hi
£15.00 Is about right but you may struggle to get it.  I honestly do not think its worth taking on at £12.00 if its your only job.

There are rates floating about between 10-12 but its larger operations with 100's of chargeable hours.

Remember NMW  will be best part of 10 an hour by the end of the year.  Is it worth tying yourself up and being on call  7 days a week for 50 quid a week.
cheers

To successfully run a cleaning business you have to charge correctly.  Charging very little, without enough margin for yourself will ultimately lead to frustration, you will end up doing a bad job and getting a bad reputation in the end. If you are in London, £15 is the minimum you can charge, otherwise, you will be working for your Clients free of charge so to speak  ;)

Rule of thumb (as statutory costs are in 2018) you should be looking at charging around £15.00 per hour in or around London, elsewhere in the UK you should expect to charge between £10.00 to £13.00 per hour in order to be competitive.  Remember you must review your costs and charges annually and ensure to contract your customers into annual price increases in line with the NMW increases, this will protect your margins.
