can you give me the the name of the best glue to fix lead back to glass ?

I haven't used it on lead personally but I use gorilla glue for clamps and bits

doers gorilla glue expand?

if so wouldn't look good on leaded, I heard it does??

I've never used it but I'm sure that "Gorilla Glue" is what's technically referred to as a "CA Glue" (Cyanoacrylate).
Gorilla Glue is a brand name but it would basically be what's commonly known as Super Glue.
So I would just buy a small dropper bottle of Super Glue.

*Edit- Google tells me there are two types of Gorilla Glue (Polyurethane and a Super Glue version).
The Polyurethane is commonly used in woodworking and does expand slightly for gap filling, and is usually yellow/brown in colour.

So I would definitely still advise a Super Glue to be used.

I used gorilla glue in my van and it did expand a bit.

Super glue is fine and works but get the gel version as it does not run just a small couple of spots is needed

just as a matter of interest why are you repairing old lead on windows? have you pulled it off with your brush?

i have a few customers with dodgy leaded windows.im just extra careful when wfpoling them.

ive never once been asked to glue them back on (they always contact a window fitting company, leave them or do it themselves)

Guess it depends if it’s proper old leaded windows, or new mock Tudor types, single pane, that are just fixed over the top.

My own fault Dazmond , I should have popped flocked brush on but thought my stiff ultimate might be ok   ,but it took a piece off , custy has not noticed yet as I have sort of wedged it back on  .
lesson learned.

Its the fake tudor type og.
its a downstairs window so should be easily glued , hopefully .
