Quite a number of years ago I needed an operation which required 2 weeks in hospital and 3 months off work.
A number of my friends are shiners and they clubbed together and blitz my round. Took out some money for a pint n meal each at end of day together and gave rest to me n my family. They volunteered to do this.
My bills were covered and my family survived and I had great friends who helped not paid employees.

Moving forward to today if I get too ill to work then its quite simply a day or two off work. If its anything worse than that Im still covered.

Your a JW yeah?  That is one of the benefits of having so many JW's who are window cleaners.  They all help eachother out when they need it, and they do it often without hesitation.

Shame we can't create a network on this forum like that, where if somebody is unwell and can't do there work and has no backup, people couldn't club together to help out.  That would be a way of having like a decent community of window cleaners that actually properly help eachother out when those seriously need help.

Shame it probs wont happen though  ??? ???

really?i dont trust anyone when it comes to money or work.
price higher/work harder!

Have some funds invested in the stock market and also a flat I rent out. Looking for another property to add value to  and rent that out too. that should give a small income if the worst happens. Think what lees doing is a great plan, but you do need the right attitude don't think its for me not really a people person and if you employ obviously you need to be.
