Use an  SLX25 Pole and today i was cleaning fascias on a big house.  The underside of the fascias had dirty drips even after i had cleaned it.  So i wrapped a scrim cloth around the brush head and then used that extended to dry off the drips.  it did the job but it wasn't perfect took ages and if i had to do it again i want to make sure i can use something that is more practical and faster.

I have the DA Multi Tool attachment thing to use with bronze wool pad holder, i am thinking maybe if i buy like an Unger fixi clamp, i could thread that into the multi tool holder on my slx pole and then just put a scim/microfiber on the clamp?

Has anybody done this, or any of you got any suggestions for me please.

Can somebody recommend any decent cloths i can use for detailing glass.  Need to get some new gear.  Seen about the Fishscale Microfibers from facelift are they any good?

We still have Unger Teleplus poles and numerous accessories from our early wfp days before carbon fiber poles.

We use the Unger fixi clamp for this with a hand towel in the jaws. The Unger Cone fits on the pole and the new fixi clamps lock onto the adaptor. We use this for just about every soffett clean that have those breather slots cut into them as they always drip dirty water. We go around the soffetts once they have dripped down and dampen the towel a bit.

I used an slx40 tonight with a Gardiner Quickloq angle adaptor with a cone conversion.

and this combination with a zero degree swivel Unger Squeegee works ok for blading internal windows at 35'. So if you have an old pole then this could be worth considering.

The fixi clamp isn't the best thing since sliced bread as the towel can work its way out of the jaws.

I did see a metal clamp somewhere once but was scared it might scratch the glass if we weren't careful.

I still prefer proper hand towels and scrims. I dislike the new microfiber cloths, but the wife knows best and bought me a few despite me asking her not to.

For fascias bad drips microfiber cloth 60x80 size rapped round a  domestic size brush single knotted via opposite corners fast and effective. Keep it simple.

Cloths try paragon. Good value. Not over priced unlike some places that sell rebranded staff of theirs.

I use a couple of washing line pegs to clamp it round the brush head. Cheap n simples.

Have these got an elasticated edge so it holds on to the brush head?

These aren’t the exact ones iv got , I bought mine from Tesco which went down to £1 a while back., but I can’t find them online. They have a button on them , so it wraps round your brush head and fastens with some elastic which goes over the button- they are the perfect size and don’t come off like a microfibre cloth does when wrapping it round your brush .

I use an elastic band on each end of the brush wrapped around a microfiber cloth. I also use this method on some first cleans if vents are leaking dirt.
