Congratulations to one of our Approved Contractors, Og, with exhibiting his company at this year's Solar & Storage show at the NEC.

We were up against some massive companies, backed by London city investors, but we came out on top for services rendered to the O&M arm of the solar industry...

Looks like the one in the dress wasn’t wearing his PPE cleaning that last set of panels, the electrocuted hair gives it away.

Hope H&S weren’t there, you would’ve had the book thrown at you.

I can see why people slate

People have slated for a looooooong time and for no good reason.   Look back through the very early posts on here about solar panel cleaning and training etc and you'll see I have been called all sorts ever since.  People never thought I'd get it off the ground, I've been called a charlatan, con man, tax dodger etc, etc, etc.

So to win a national award, yes, I feel I can gloat about this achievement.

The O&M award is the fastest growing part of the solar industry right now and that category was flooded with over 40 companies that applied.  If you knew and understood the industry as I do, you'd understand what an amazing achievement this is.  It's like Steve Williams Electricity Company taking on Eon at their own game and winning.  Installation in the UK is dead, O&M is the hot market and millions of pounds is being invested into companies  to grow them and make them an O&M player.  I've grown my company without as much as a bank loan.

We have just landed our largest tender ever and it has been taking up all of my time.  I didn't even have time to get to one day of the show, otherwise you can be sure I would definitely have come by.  It's the first time I haven't been, but from what I heard, the show was nowhere near as big as it used to be and there was lots of focus on storage.  Our target audience just don't have the same presence there anymore.

Yep it was good. Started a 6000 panel roof job today. Nearly pays for the show. You're right about storage.
Interesting that anesco have done the subsidy free farm too.
