I don't know what will!

Went on the weighbridge yesterday and had a surprise.
Full tank of fuel and 650 l of water with no passengers and i was bang on the limit in the transit 280.
I'm not super fat either. Just porky.

Was looking at a bigger transit but they're not quite enough to carry a ton of water with the tank, two guys, fuel, battery, toolbox, pumps n hoses etc.
Or too close to call.
Maybe with a 900litre tank.

look out for a transit swb-mwb /low roof330 , they do them in fwd with the better 2.2 in there running the bigger axles like the 350 but without the crappy 2.4 rwd set up

or its a new dispatch that carrys just under a tonne and a half

Depends on each van's model. Low roof and high roof will have different payloads, engine size, fwd or rwd will also make a difference.

Well, looked at a stolen recovered transit rwd 350 payload 1485.
Bit ropey.

I reckon nearly everyone is over the limit on weight.
I'm bang on it with two guys and 650l of water. Roof rack and ply don't help.
I wonder if oil and coolant are included in the weight limit?
