Hi dave I'm just half way through free trial, I'm not a computer person but found it ok.

I did have a small problem with and emailed rob last night and got an answer this morning, what are you stuck with?

Its taken all day to load up 200 jobs, I find it  over complicated for a small round which I have,  I'm unsure  with all the different columns ex: accounts, debts e c t ..... how do you keep it simple as I am on the free trial also ??? mind blowing

Me too I currently have mine on the computer on Excel broadsheets but have just signed up for free trial...it does look to be over complicating a simple process.

dear oh dear what a fuss haha

You guys need to chill out and just take your time. Its a brilliant system.  Why spend all that time putting your data in, Just give it to Rob and he will do it. Once you see data you are used to dealing with on it it will be easier. I taught myself the system in about 2 days for most of it. Other stuff in the following few weeks.

Cleaner planner has transformed my business hands down. The real benefits dont show through at first when your frustrated over learning it but they will in time.

Hey Dave, I invite you both down to my office for a day to learn it.

I'm using, or rather not using, Cleaner Planner. I've all but given up on it as to me it's one big muddle. At the moment I working out of a diary and memory which cannot go on indefinitely. I know I'm going to again have to spend god knows how many hours working out how it works.

I changed over form George for two reasons. Firstly I had a problem with it corrupting data which got sorted out eventually but only after I'd spent hours trying to solve it and even then I had to re enter weeks of work to get it up to date. Secondly, I bought a tablet so as I could enter stuff on George as I was working but even with a 10" tablet, the writing on George was still way to small.

Cleaner Planner obviously a very professional program that does way more than I need but intuitive to use, nope. The videos are good but I prefer written instructions. To be fair, Rob has always been helpfull and replies to emails quickly and I cannot fault the customer service.  It's just that to me the program is so complicated to use.

It's probably ok on laptop but on phone it's too fiddly trying to swipe jobs about etc.

I find George perfect as I can come home input everything then print off a week of worksheets in advance and put it in the van. Gives me something to jot notes on on Cust details etc.

And obviously it is much cheaper.

I would consider myself useless on computers or anything to do with them.
I have found cleaner planner easy so far, I'm just inputting one round at a time, tonight I will input tomorrows work, last night I put in todays.

I have sync'd my email and sent invoice, can mark off debts etc etc!

Have my worksheets on the iPhone and I think its easy enough. especially as the team will help you with any issues.

dave
Just use Excel or similar spread sheet. Use the shortcut keys. Ctrl + Shift and the Shift + arrow keys.  Ctrl + C ,  Ctrl + V
You can whizz around a sheet in moments.
Shift and Arrow keys, highlight last months entries, Ctrl +C  to paste Done!
Highlight every months entries - Autosum  the totals,  do the end of year income in minutes.
Highlight print area - Ctrl + P to print and you have your worksheet printed out.
George is just a fancy Macro driven front end to Excel,  you don't need it.
Don't waste time and money.
I'm not too far away from you if you need a hand and Excel let me know I'll let you have templates to get you going.
Keep it simple.

Hi

George has nothing to do with Excel. It does a whole lot of stuff you can't easily do with a spreadsheet.

It's possible to build your database in a spreadsheet but it's not a very good idea...

You could say that about any database. You'd be wrong, but you could still say it.
