« on: September 23, 2017, 03:48:00 pm »
Hi all, I've hot a conservatory job lined up but it has nicotine stain PVC inside on the ceiling.

What's the best cleaning solution for getting it off? Cif? Ubik 2000 ?

Just wondering what to use....

Depending on how heavy  staining is start from, 1:20  ratio. Apply by trigger spray bottle - wear mask, glasses you dont want to get this in your mouth or eyes. Let it soak for few minutes. Do not let it dry.  Alternatively sponge or cloth. Note you will need to cover carpeted floors if any - run offs will come down.  . Do not use ubik full strength as painted woodwork may go yellow due to chemical reaction.
Remove all with wet micro fibre cloth and dry with another.
Pvc cream may still be needed to buff out ingrained stains afterwards on frames.

Run away. Seriously. You'll be scraping the tar off if they're heavy smokers.

That bad? There not heavy smokers but you can see the yellowing.

Have to agree, make sure you add enough to replace all your cloths etc on top as it will ruin them and charge well.
I would never clean the insides of a smoker house now, did it once never again.

ubik2000 will rip nicotine off in seconds use a magic spung  i use old white towels cut in to hand size squares  spray on the ubik and start wiping it off u will go through a lot of towels if its realy bad  it will come up perfect with just ubik2000  after u finish chuck some ubik in a bucket of water and chuck the cloths in it let them soak for a bit then just wash them as normal no need to chuck them away u can also use virisol as well that  is also good on nicotine very well

I had a cold call from Thomas Sanderson the other day and when I answered , it was a recorded message saying ' sorry that Thomas Sanderson has missed you , please call us back on 0xx(can't remember somewhere in Portsmouth ) '

I bet lots of oldies ring back as they dont know who Thomas is , they then get talked into or hounded , Thomas on the other hand cant get done as the unsuspecting custie phoned them , clever yet wrong i think !

Nicotine isnt hard to remove by hand.

I use all purpose cleaner, something like flash, ubik, g101, asda smart price lol.

All works fine, use it neat, blast it on and wipe it off, easy peasy

That may be , but there is just the thought of hundreds of poison chemicals and the lining of lungs dripping into my armpits that does not appeal to me  ;D

A subcontractor.
Or Thomas Sanderson, if you don't  like them.
