Roof racks
« on: September 09, 2017, 04:24:20 pm »
I did ask this question a while ago but just got stupid answers like, "Who uses a ladder?"

So I'll try again.

I'm after a traditional style roof rack for a short wheel transit van ........ 07 - 10 plate .......... a new van I'm yet to buy, but if I Google roof racks it just comes up with Rhino Roof Bars. I don't wish to tie my ladders on but simply hang them on my rack like I used to do with an older van I had.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to a dealer or just someone who custom makes them.

Thanks in advance.

I doubt any manufacturer specifically went out to design a roof rack that you could hang your ladders on the side of. Contractors just found an easier way.

You used a roof rack on a previous van, so in effect you know more about the workings of it than we do. That's probably why no one has responded.

You might need to import it - Is it safe to hang them and not secure them ?

Nobody uses ladders anymore Lee  ;D ;D ;D

I think this is what you are after yes ?
If so you could try 100% stainless here in Plymouth , it wont be cheap though !
