I do miss the gym thats for sure! Ive spent many a years in them and had multi gym at home etc etc.
But my life in recent years have taken another path.....but i do miss going. The only time i can fit the gym in now is 6am and my insomnia means im hitting the pillow at 4am and sadly i rarely see 6am at the mo.
But yes there are many types who go to the gym and many techniques also, but not all target the muscle groupss that they should. Ive seen gym goers help a friend whos a mechanic. They had to hold something at head height for 5/maybe ten mins,,,,,,my friend the mechanic did so easily whilst the gym goer was suffering badly.
I would say a lot of gym goers have no clue as to what theyre doing, not all though.
In my last job l used to travel a lot and would find the nearest gym and go on my lunch break, l believe you can always "fit" the gym in. Maybe you could swap your carverys for a workout? Imagine the impact that would have on your physique and health?
It may even help with your sleep issues, l can remember my amatuer kickboxing days, after a good sess l would sleep like a baby.
Sleep is vital to our health, as is staying in shape! Look at your waist to height ratio and that will tell you a lot about what you can expect health wise as you age( diabetes, heart disease, hormonal imbalance, etc etc ).. anything above 50% and its at risk! I lost over a stone this year and bought my waist to height ratio down to 45%. I feel loads better for it too, bags more energy.
We aint getting younger mate, look after your body its the only you'll ever get. It may just last a bit longer.
