I only do them on the first clean.

From then on all downstairs ones get wiped with a microfibre then clean rest of window as normal. Upstairs ones just miss them out you can't see em...

I'll only clean them rarely again when they look dirty which may be a year after

Some do and some don't, I clean  windows where the vent is on the bottom of the opener ( half way down the window) so you have no choice but to soak them, for obvious reasons they are well sealed but even if they weren't the vents sit far enough out
so that if they where to leak water it wouldn't drip onto the glass.
Personally I don't put water near vents even though I know there are some on my round that I could probably get away with,
a quick rub with a damp microfiber over the brush guarantees quality needed or not.
Then like yourself I'm a price over numbers man.

By doing the initial deep clean, it means im not concerned if i splash water on them or not as some seem to have mentioned over the years on this issue. It also means that when i clean over the frames on maintenance cleans im not scared of the vents etc etc. As seen in the dried/drying window the quality is there. But also it helps with speed as in not needing to do a seperate wipe with microfibre cloths etc

I find i can wipe the vents and top frame with a microfibre just as quick as cleaning them and rinsing.
Infact i do this with a lot of top frames as i find 90% of wfp problems come from top frames and seals, if i can avoid putting water on them all for the better.

Using these quick connect jets  (i personally use 6 jets)

(In addition, because its 14inch, these small windows which the odd house may have.....your able to clean frame and glass in one go.    Another small way in which it speeds your productivity up)

388g brush on the end of your pole(probably 400g with the extra pencil jets)?i guess you havent got a lot of awkward windows to clean on your round then mate.thats way too heavy for a regular brush IMO.your slx must be nearly snapping at full stretch over a conny/extension.

After lugging around extra tall ladders (not the flimbsy H frame type either) for 13yrs on my work and carrying 25 ltrs of water in a bucket in the other hand.......using this brush n pole is light as a feather for me!
granted its not as light as some of the gardiner brushes but they are that light i could launch them into space 😂

Yep i have plent of 2 storey windows to clean, over conservatories, in between juliet balconies and windows at arkward angles and i can manage all of them.
For me this has been the best brush ive had so far.

I've just slapped an extreme brush on my slx and the difference is huge. It's like using a wand I love it.

Be interesting to see how it compares to your 20 jetter Nathan.

It wont, a lot of us started out using heavy brushes because there was nothing else but thanks to Mr G that's no longer the case,
some have issues with extreme brushes not lasting but Iv never had that problem.
Nathan seems to be one of these guys who thinks taking three steps back to move one step forward is the way to go.
