Hi all , which waterproof jacket do you wear?
I wear a helly Hansen jacket at the minute and although it keeps me warm and dry for a while, I find it too heavy to work in.
What do you wear?

I generally don't.

In summer I find it too hot and prefer to get wet.

In winter I would be going home if it was Bad enough to need a raincoat.

Only exception would be doing a Conny or fsg which I would do in heavy rain.

I have an old plain black regatta jacket that I must have had for over 10 years in my van. This gets used on occasion.

I usually just wear a polo t shirt but in drizzle , light rain I put a jacket on until it stops. It saves me from walking around in a wet t shirt , but I'm after something thin and waterproof as I get too hot as well

i have 2 that i take out with me on a wet day.a berghaus goretex jacket and a north face one and swap them at lunchtime.their worth their weight in gold for me as i work in most wet weather.in winter i wear them over my fleece jacket.

Berghaus for me few quid more but lightweight and waterproof easy to work in better than most of the cheaper options in my opinion.

Get goretex or similar as they are breathable and easy to work with. Always worn clothes like this not just for work either. They can be pricey but well worth it.

Regatta  great oudoor waterproof jacket. Extremely light weight, i either have it hung up in back of van or folded/scrunched right down and behind my headrest of seat.
It aint warm as its not padded or anything, its just a plastic type jacket that does its job. Im always warm but you could put a jumper on underneath if need be

from my experience regatta are cheap crap and dont keep you dry.you sweat like a pig in them too.

We work outdoors in the rain, most people think were muppets for doing so regardless if we look stylish or not.......as long as we're dry n earning

They are cheap but they are waterproof

What more do you want? You'll sweat like a pig in any waterproof.

Well normally im really stylish but when its peeing it down only thing i care about is staying dry and cracking on with work.  I look lik some sort of dark elf with my waterproofs on ha.  Custards must think im a nutter.  Had 2 people this morning, working in this rain?!?!?  Windows wont clean themselves

Always found mountain warehouses stuff to be good and affordable but up there with the leading brands.
