^looks like the same thing I've done but I'll bet a fair old wedge more expensive.

Having worked with mine for a week I'm actually thinking about going back to how it was before.

I'm finding that when pulling the hose off sometimes it causes the reel to spin too fast and create loops which then snag.
When this happens the coils become looser which then makes pulling out the hose quite hard as it snags on itself. Reset the hose and all works nicely but was still getting the issue a few times during the day and it was annoying me.

Also the angles are not much better as you snag the tyre if trying to pull out more than 90 degrees.

Looking at you pic above Simon it looks as though your reels are doing the same, the coils don't look tight. How you finding it?

keep it simple adam.you ll find over time that its all just "extra fluff" that you dont need for your day to day working.have you seen lots of wagga videos?he s a serial faffer who loves to mess with his set up.i think he sees it as a hobby rather than anything else.most of his stuff is rubbish though and useless and doesnt really make your job anymore effective and productive.
price higher/work harder!

Not finding it too hard taking hose off and putting it back on the reels.  Just a case of hose management and parking van in the best spot for each job.  Already noticed how much water is saved by not lifting reels in and out of van and loosing water from the half inch hose each time we disconnect. The 400mm clearance helps with keeping hose aligned.  So far I'm finding this method better than our previous set up and it can only get better as we get used to working this way and more efficient

Nice and simple probably works well but not very secure and how do you work on a windy /wet day with the doors open?
